The ocean is calm and peaceful
Sitting on the sun warmed rocks
Watching the gulls soaring overhead
Shriek to each other in friendly banter
My toes sink into the velvet sand
A wave crashes to shore in a friendly embrace
The sun pulls the ocean over its head like a blanket
In a brilliant red and orange radiance
The soft wind tangles with my hair
Giving me a hug goodbye
As I walk home
Off the golden beach
